What is affiliate marketing?

What is affiliate marketing?

Affiliate marketing is where you become a partner of a company and promote its products or services for commission.

This can be a very lucrative business when done properly, the first step is finding a company worthy of promoting.

Some companies pay their affiliates based on leads, sales or clicks.

•sale -the selling of a product
•lead -a potential customer
•click -a website visitor

Most pay based on sales and the affiliate is paid a commission of the sale.

So let’s say “johny” promotes the brand @pple on his blog or website, when someone uses Johny’s link to purchase the new !Phone from @pples website he’s paid a commission based on the sale.

@pple gets a new customer and johny gets paid for his efforts for bringing @pple a new customer and a sale!

And that’s how it works, some affiliates like to promote on social media platforms and some companies will only allow you to promote their company in certain places and will not allow lower level marketers to promote their brand.

There’s thousands of affiliate programs you could join and the process is usually pretty simple it’s just a matter of finding one, joining and then promoting it.

There’s a bit more to it then that but I think you get the drift, me personally I promote only a few companies my main one being the super affiliate network because you are able to promote it anywhere people can be found and the compensation plan is off the charts!!!

It’s newbie friendly and they teach you the basics of Internet marketing, this could be the perfect place to start if you want to become an affiliate marketer.

The super affiliate network teaches people how to become affective marketers whilst giving you the option to promote the company for commission.
